Man Or Goat – Hints And Tips

General Gameplay Tips

• The faster you answer a goat correctly the higher you score for that goat
• Each CLASSIC levels has its own sequence of goats (not random)
• All other game modes play random goats in any order
• To unlock all levels and game modes you need to get high scores by answering correctly and quickly
• To find out the unlock score for each game mode look at the stats screen or select the locked game mode from the game mode selector on the home screen
• There are 972 individual goats in the game, most of them are very ugly
  • Each goat always plays the same noise

Game Mode – CLASSIC

• If you get a wrong answer you are deducted the number of points you would have got if you had answered correctly
• To get 3 stars on a level you need to answer all noises correctly and score a minimum number of points
• The minimum number of points gets higher and higher as you progress through the levels
• To get above 20,000 on a level you probably need to start memorizing the goat sequence and move your fingers efficiently
• For amazing scores above 23,079 you are awarded with different coloured stars :
  • Orange to yellow to red to black
  • Black stars are actually ninja shurikens
  • To get all 3 black stars you need to score 23,400 or more
  • The stars are displayed on the level over screen and the level select screen

Game Mode – POO BUCKET

• Bigger poo will fill your bucket more quickly than smaller poo, just like in real life
• If you get all the poo from one goat you get a golden poo bonus
• These bonuses multiply. If you get all the next goat’s poo too will get twice as much golden poo!
• You can remove the current goat immediately by tapping it
• To fill the bucket in under 25 seconds you need the x2 combo bonus golden poo (get 100% of all the poo from the first and second goats)
• To move the bucket to the other side of the screen instantly, just tap with your free hand where you want the bucket to go. Two handed technique!

Game Mode – BEAT THE SHEPHERD

• The shepherd will only challenge you to a game mode that you have unlocked
• For CLASSIC level challenges, the shepherd always picks the level you've scored lowest on
• The target score for a challenge is usually slightly higher than your best score
• The shepherd you see is actually the game developer, Gareth, dressed up and wearing a wig while his wife was out

Game Mode – HERO LEVEL 1, 2, and 3

• In HERO mode if you get a wrong answer the game ends and you score nothing
• On the hero meter at the bottom you must keep the needle on HERO by answering correctly and quickly!
• The needle moves faster on HERO LEVEL 2 and HERO LEVEL 3
• HERO LEVEL 3 is the hardest challenge in the game.
  • Try to answer the moment you know if it’s a MAN or a GOAT
  • Don't wait until the sound finishes

Game Mode – TURBO

• 30 seconds of random goats
• Answer as quickly as you can
• If you get a wrong answer you are deducted the number of points you would have got if you had answered correctly

Game Mode – 50 GOATS

• 50 random goats
• Answer as quickly as you can
• If you get a wrong answer you are deducted the number of points you would have got if you had answered correctly

Game Mode – ENDURANCE and ENDURANCE MAX

• If you get a wrong answer it is game over and you score nothing
• The real difficulty in ENDURANCE is keeping your answering quickly and keeping your concentration
